Pathways to Peace

Hi visitors! My name is Caroline O’Sullivan and I am a recent college graduate living in the Massachusetts area. I have struggled with unwanted anxious thoughts since I was 7 years old. To combat this, I would operate at 500 mph, and over-involved myself in activities, schoolwork, and mundane busy work to avoid any type of internal pain, struggle and fear I was feeling.

Due to this avoidance, I lost my sense of self. My physical and mental health was poor, and I had no idea where to begin. When COVID hit, I used my immense amount of free time to start researching how to love myself again and try to understand what “self-care” meant. Between doing external research, and finding my own coping mechanisms, I wanted to create a haven of knowledge where people could access tips, videos, and articles on loving themselves, rather than jumping and getting lost in the multiple videos, articles, and ideas gathered from different sources.

COVID has shaken this country to its core. It has brought heartache, pain, and mental health decline. I hope that Pathway to Peace can be your “it” tool. A place where you can find guidance, hope, and sunshine during a time where those ideals are dim.

Let this site be a reminder to you that we all deeply need to care for ourselves, accept and appreciate our best and our worst. If you haven't heard this, let this be a reminder to YOU that YOUR needs, thoughts, and ideas are valid understood, and heard. I still have plenty of work to do in fully loving who I am, so join me in this journey to becoming proud of who we are, and all we have accomplished.

You have so much love within you, why not give some of that to yourself?

This website is dedicated to my late uncle John "Barry" O'Sullivan. He was a man of strength, resilience, and everlasting hope among the struggles life threw his way. Despite struggling with his own mental health, he continually showed me the beauty this world brings. He was my mentor, and confidant and empowered individuals young and old to never give up on themselves. He was a family man, a hard worker, and man full of unconditional love. I miss you everyday.
